American Studies 1(9:05-2:30[periods2,3,4]): American
Studies 1 covers the history of America
from colonization to westward expansion. Students will create an understanding of
the beginnings of America
through text, artifacts, and discussion.
Expectations: Student should be on time and in class every
day to keep up with the lessons taught. Please make sure for this week that all
students complete and understand the vocabulary.
Field Trip: There will be a Field Trip next month to Washington D.C.
to visit the capital building. The need for chaperons as always is dire. I will
be releasing the dates next week. So if you can please come, that would be great.
Technology: To complete class assignments, students will be
useing different kinds of technology to create videos, music, and discuss
assignments. I understand that not all students are equal on this front and
will give time to student to complete assignments in class. I will also be
using this blog to communicate with student and parents. If for some reason you
are unable to access this website, please contact me and I will make sure you
can get any information you need.
